Police have identified a suspect who died after shooting an Oklahoma City police officer on Wednesday night. 23-year-old Crasteven Kennon Wilson allegedly shot Officer Bryce Sheehan in the leg when the officer approached to conduct a pat search. Police say that after Sheehan returned fire, officers attempted to administer first aid to Wilson, who later died at an area hospital. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
  2. The Oklahoma City YWCA is attempting to provide a safe space for victims of domestic violence and their pets. Through the Humane Society's Animal Advocate program, the center hopes to empower women to leave dangerous situations by providing a safe space for their pets to stay and be fostered. Oklahoma Humane Society director of development Rachel Findley says the goal is to reunite the pets with their owner "as soon as they’re back on their feet and in a good place." (News On 6)
  3. Authorities say an unattended candle is the likely cause of a fire that broke out at a home in southwest Oklahoma City on Thursday morning. Fire crews responded to the fire at the home near Southwest 36th Street and Blackwelder Avenue around 5:00 a.m. and safely evacuated a dog that was inside. Nobody else was in the house, and no injuries were reported. (KOCO Oklahoma City)
