Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:
- Oklahoma City Public Schools will have another virtual learning day today, Feb. 24, due to the ongoing winter weather. District officials have instructed students to stay in and log in to their classes virtually via Canvas. All school activities and curbside meal services have also been canceled. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
- A group of Norman residents has filed a petition requesting that voters have a say in the location of homeless shelters in the Oklahoma City metro area. The voters behind the petition say that shelters are currently too close to schools, bringing in drugs and violence. Norman City Councilman Rarchar Tortorello voiced support for the petition, adding that "the city needs to get out of the shelter business and focus on what the voters want." (KTUL)
- The Oklahoma City Police Department is requesting the public's help to identify the suspects who allegedly stole materials from a construction site near SW 104th and Western. Police released photos late Tuesday night depicting two men at the site who reportedly loaded a black pickup truck with construction material and drove away with it. Anyone who recognizes the men in the photos is asked to call OKCPD at (405) 297-1000. (KFOR Oklahoma City)
