Two men hospitalized after stabbing outside Oklahoma City convenience store (koco.com) — Two men were stabbed during a fight at a convenience store near Southwest 74th Street and May Avenue in Oklahoma City, leaving one in critical condition with a neck wound. Police say four suspects fled, only one armed with a knife, and are asking anyone who was in the area Wednesday night to contact investigators with tips.

Oklahoma City turnpike plans spark controversy over property impact (koco.com) — Plans for a new 28-mile turnpike loop around Oklahoma City, linking I-44 and I-35, could cost hundreds of property owners their land as construction targets early 2026. Turnpike officials say they’ve settled on 53 properties and argue the loop will divert truck traffic from downtown, while opponents question using eminent domain for what they call an unnecessary road.

Freedom Center in Oklahoma City to reopen, honoring civil rights legacy (koco.com) — A major piece of Oklahoma City civil rights history is reopening today as the Freedom Center holds a public ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m., funded through MAPS 4.
