See months of progress on Myriad Convention Center demolition in OKC (oklahoman.com) — Demolition of the former Myriad/Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City is steadily progressing as crews clear the site next to Paycom Center for the city’s planned new arena. A photo timeline shows how much of the building and its sky bridge has come down since June, giving residents a visual sense of how quickly the downtown landscape is changing. 
2. Two men hospitalized after stabbing outside Oklahoma City convenience store (koco.com) — Two men were stabbed during a fight at a convenience store near Southwest 74th Street and May Avenue in Oklahoma City, leaving one in critical condition with a neck wound. Police say four suspects fled, only one armed with a knife, and are asking anyone who was in the area Wednesday night to contact investigators with tips.
3. Oklahoma City turnpike plans spark controversy over property impact (koco.com) — Plans for a new 28-mile turnpike loop around Oklahoma City, linking I-44 and I-35, could cost hundreds of property owners their land as construction targets early 2026. Turnpike officials say they’ve settled on 53 properties and argue the loop will divert truck traffic from downtown, while opponents question using eminent domain for what they call an unnecessary road.
4. Freedom Center in Oklahoma City to reopen, honoring civil rights legacy (koco.com) — A major piece of Oklahoma City civil rights history is reopening today as the Freedom Center holds a public ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m., funded through MAPS 4. Former NAACP Youth Council members describe how Clara Luper’s “boot camp” for nonviolence at the original center shaped their lives, and the new five-acre campus aims to teach that history while empowering future generations.
5. The home that turns into Christmas (news9.com) — A wildly decorated Oklahoma City home has transformed into a floor-to-ceiling Christmas showcase, with themed rooms, thousands of Santas, and trees in every tub. Homeowners Scott Allen and Joe Roman now channel their two-decade tradition into an invitation-only open house supporting local charity Other Options.
