Here are the top three stories in Oklahoma City today:
- Despite being closed since 2001, generations of University of Oklahoma students and Norman residents never stopped raving about Pinocchio’s Italian Restaurant. Now, just over two decades after closing its doors, the restaurant known for its top-tier breadsticks and spaghetti has its new home on 325 White Street. Norman resident Michael Nash will partner with the original owner and operator Glenn Woods to bring the concept back. He hopes to have Pinocchio’s open in six to nine months. (Norman Transcript)
- Supporters gathered to call for an end to the war at the Oklahoma Capitol on Saturday. Folks showed their pride for the people of Ukraine and for President Zelensky. "He's standing there, standing up for freedom, standing up for democracy, and standing up for the same values that every one of us here holds dear," Ukraine supporter Francis Frost said. - On Saturday morning, a fire started at a four-story senior living center in Oklahoma City. The fire initially started on someone's stove as they were cooking, and was contained to their unit, but smoke spread throughout the building. The occupant of the apartment where the fire started was checked for possible smoke inhalation and transported to a hospital for further evaluation, though no other injuries were reported.
