  1. New daily snowfall records were reached in Oklahoma City on Wednesday and Thursday this week. Wednesday's total snowfall of three inches surpassed the prior record of 2.5 inches, and Thursday's 2.9 inches of snow broke the previous same-day snowfall record of one inch. Both prior records were achieved more than a century ago in 1913. (news9.com KWTV)
  2. Trash collection that was originally scheduled for Friday will now take place tomorrow, Feb. 6. Customers with regular Friday service should place their trash bins curbside no later than 6 a.m. on Sunday. Bulky trash collection will still take place as planned on Monday, Feb. 7. (News On 6)
  3. A Lawton Public Schools teacher was recognized as the Teacher of the Game during an Oklahoma City Thunder match last week. Mary Hanson, who teaches sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade literacy support for the district, was presented with dinner, a plaque, and a prize to help purchase classroom supplies. Hanson has been teaching for more than three decades and called the night "unforgettable." (KSWO)

  • Congratulations to Oklahoma City Fire Department Chief Jason Smith, who was presented the South OKC Kiwanis Firefighter of the Year Award by Mayor Holt! (Facebook)
  • Attention parents! All Oklahoma City Police Athletic League basketball games are canceled this weekend. The OKC PAL will attempt to reschedule the games in the future. (Facebook)
