- Police have arrested a man who was found in possession of 140 stolen catalytic converters. Investigators discovered that suspect Daniel Louis was operating his business, Auto Joy Automotive, as a chop shop late last week and conducted search warrants at the business and Louis's home on Friday. The suspect has been arrested for owning and operating a chop shop, possession of multiple stolen vehicles, and knowingly concealing stolen property. (KRMG)
- Fire crews are investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at an abandoned house on Tuesday morning. Officials say the house caught fire on Sunday as well, but the flames were much smaller and extinguished quickly by someone in the area. Investigators say they suspect possible arson in both fires. - The City of Tulsa Human Rights Commission has named a new annual award after the late Tulsa educator and activist Dr. Sherri Dessirea Tapp. Tapp has also posthumously been named the first-ever recipient of the Compassionate Tulsan Award. The Compassionate Tulsa Committee is also seeking nominations for a new monthly award recognizing Tulsans who exhibit compassionate acts. (Press Release Desk)
