Here are the top 3 stories today in Tulsa:
- Police have arrested a woman accused of setting fire to a hallway at the Hewgley Terrace apartments on Wednesday morning. The arson arrest was made after officers were called to the apartment around 1 a.m. for a domestic dispute, in which suspect Latonya Lee McVay allegedly lit an item on fire and tossed it into the hall. The incident resulted in only minor damages and no injuries. (News On 6)
- Residents of a South Tulsa neighborhood have filed a petition asking for an injunction against new 5G towers. The individuals who live in Walnut Creek say they were never notified about 5G towers being installed in their area, some of which are being erected in front yards. The 102-page document that the residents filed with the Tulsa County District Court requests an official pause on the construction of the towers until concerns can be addressed. (KTUL)
- The Tortoise Race returned to the Tulsa Zoo on Tuesday after having been canceled the past two years. The annual race, which involves placing tortoises at the center of a circle and watching them race to the edge, is used to raise awareness for the annual Zoo-Run. This year's Zoo-Run takes place this Saturday, March 5, and the deadline to register is today, March 3.(News On 6)
