- A restaurant worker has been arrested after pulling a gun on a family and then hiding from the police. Officers say the incident occurred at the Fat Guys burger restaurant in Greenwood, where the suspect evaded police for more than seven hours by climbing into the ceiling and crawling to the attic of the business next door. Police safely cleared the building and arrested the suspect for Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Obstruction, and Unlawfully Carrying a Gun. (News On 6)
- Wildfires across Green County filled the Tulsa skies with smoke on Friday morning. Meteorologist Anne Brown says the smoke is being pulled through the area from southerly winds, creating an unhealthy air quality throughout the Tulsa metro area. Anyone who is able is encouraged to limit their time outside until the smoke subsides. (2 News Oklahoma KJRH Tulsa)
- A group of Tulsans marched through the city on Thursday to protest gun violence in their community. The demonstrators participating in the Black on Black Respect March began their protest at the Solid Foundation Preparatory Academy and marched to Chamberlain Park, where they continued their demonstration until 6:00 p.m. The march came just hours after 59-year-old James Kinnard was shot and killed in north Tulsa on Thursday morning.
