Here are the top 3 stories today in Tulsa:
- Hundreds of homes were impacted by an early-morning power outage in Tulsa on Wednesday. According to the Public Service Company of Oklahoma, the winter storm resulted in more than 800 power outages across the metro area. More than 1,200 additional crew members from Delaware, Florida, and Alabama are traveling to Green County to help the company restore power. (News On 6)
- Tulsa Public Schools officials announced in a press release Tuesday that all district schools and offices will be closed through tomorrow, Feb. 4. The closures were prompted by the forecasted winter storm and will not result in any changes to the school year calendar. The Midtown and West Tulsa Enrollment Expo that was originally planned for this weekend has also been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 12. (Press Release Desk)
- Work has paused on a project to remove the deteriorating light poles on the 21st Street bridge. The project is being halted temporarily due to inclement weather and will resume on Monday, Feb. 7.
