- A Tulsa County district judge has been named to the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals. Governor Kevin Stitt formally appointed Judge William Musseman Jr., who was first named a Tulsa County district judge in 2011. Musseman will replace Judge Dana Kuehn, who was appointed by the governor to the Oklahoma Supreme Court in July 2021. (Public Radio Tulsa)
- A Tulsa man climbed Chimborazo, the highest mountain in Ecuador, to raise money for a local school. Jason Burks scaled the 19,000-foot mountain during a 17-hour journey as part of a fundraising effort for Little Light House, a Christian school that helps students with special needs and their families. Burks says the effort helped raise over $23,000 for the institution. (KTUL)
- Tulsa residents can now register for online storm spotter training through the National Weather Service. Six training classes will be offered this year for residents across eastern Oklahoma to learn how to provide first-hand severe weather reports to their local officials. Storm spotter training is free and open to the public, but advanced registration is required for the virtual seminars. (Mcalester News Capital)
