Here are the top three stories today in Tulsa:

1. The Tulsa Police Department issued a silver alert for 74-year-old Fred Welch. He went missing from Maplewood Care Center around midnight on Sunday. He has been found safe. (KTUL)
2. Children's Medical Charities awarded $86,000 in grants to 21 non-profits that work to better the lives of children. The money was raised from sales at the organization’s resale shop, the Market on Pearl, located at 1020 S. Rockford Ave. The all-volunteer organization is the surviving philanthropic arm of the Children’s Medical Center Auxiliary of Tulsa. (Tulsa World)
3. Early on Saturday, a man died a few hours after being shot by police for pulling out a weapon as officers were giving him commands. After he was shot, officers secured his weapon and administered aid until EMSA arrived. The man is accused of robbing another man at his vehicle at gunpoint after he cashed his check at the Springdale Shopping Centre on Friday. (News On 6)
