Here are the top four stories in Tulsa today:
- The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office joined Jeepers Anonymous of Oklahoma to bring some Easter fun to kids around Tulsa. The two groups hid Easter eggs on Saturday night, so when kids woke up on Easter Sunday, they were surprised with a yard full of hidden treats. The group filled the yards of over 200 kids. (KTUL)
- A traveling exhibit has made a stop at the Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa. Bruce Springsteen LIVE honors the contributions of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. It features stage costumes, interactive displays, and instruments. (news9.com KWTV)
- Registration for Tulsa Public Schools summer programs opened on Tuesday, Apr. 12, for school-based learning from Jul. 5 to Jul. 29. During the summer session, Tulsa Public Schools will welcome back students who are currently enrolled in classes from pre-K to 12th grade, for free, full-day learning and enrichment programs at 21 school sites throughout Tulsa. Registration is open to May 23. (KTUL)
- Oklahoma State University-Tulsa is helping both young people and adults become more financially literate with free "Money Matters" workshops on Apr. 23 and Apr. 30 at 10:00 a.m. in North Hall 150. The Apr. 23 workshop is designed for elementary school students. This fun and interactive lesson will teach younger children the basic principles of money. The Apr. 30 workshop is designed for adults and the topics include: why credit matters, developing a spending and saving plan, understanding investments, and recognizing financial responsibility.
