- One suspect is in police custody after allegedly firing a gun into a home on Monday evening in an attempt to break in. Officers arrested Devonte Haynes at the scene near 71st Street and South Lewis Avenue, where they also found shell casings in the road and a discarded gun. Haynes faces several charges including burglary, reckless discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm while intoxicated, and resisting arrest. (KOKI FOX 23 TULSA)
- Tulsa Community College will host a program today for potential students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The event will give prospective students the chance to learn more about the opportunities and resources offered for deaf and hard of hearing students at the school and meet with current TCC students and staff who are deaf or hard of hearing. The program begins at 8:00 a.m. at the college's Northeast Campus. (Tulsa World)
- A hospital in South Tulsa is launching "Team Birth," a program designed to help improve communication between expecting mothers and their care teams. Hillcrest Hospital South is one of several area hospitals adopting the program after seeing it successfully implemented at St. Francis Hospital. Officials say that "Team Birth" has been shown to improve outcomes for both mothers and babies while also reducing the number of unnecessary C-sections. (KOKI FOX 23 TULSA)
