Here are the top four stories in Tulsa today:
- The Tulsa Police Department has three suspects in custody after finding three stolen cars in north Tulsa Saturday morning. Officers responded to a call regarding suspicious activity near North 129th East Avenue and Admiral Place, where a man was dumping things out of a car onto the ground of a parking lot. The officers discovered that the car was stolen and took the suspect into custody. They found two more stolen cars on the property and arrested two more suspects. (KTUL)
- The Vista at the Boathouse restaurant in the Gathering Place is reopening after two years.
The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and features a new menu. The restaurant closed at the beginning of the pandemic and, other than a few private events, has remained closed for almost two years. (KTUL) - The Tulsa Police Department is investigating after finding a man's dead body in a home near 15th and Sheridan on Saturday. The man was dead by the time the officers arrived and a cause of death has not been determined yet. Officers are not sure if this is a homicide. (News On 6)
- Cherokee Nation is helping Native American students get prepared for the fast-growing film and television productions expansions happening in Oklahoma. The Cherokee Nation Film Office has partnered with Tulsa artist Tate Steinsiek to present a special effects workshop called Introduction to FX Gore and Blood Gags for Film. They are also supplying full scholarships for Native American students interested in attending the course. (KFSM 5Newsonline)
