Here are the top 3 stories in Tulsa today:

  1. Tulsa Transit says ridership increased from five percent to ten percent in the month of January, following a decline in public transit use during the height of the pandemic. Scott Marr, a representative for the agency, says transit routes have not changed but that the influx of new riders has prompted discussions about adding more routes. The increase in usage comes as national gas prices continue to climb and the average price for a gallon in Tulsa sits at $3.77. (news9.com KWTV)
  2. Tulsa Parks is hiring for more than 200 open seasonal and non-seasonal positions throughout the city. The seasonal positions begin in late May and include lifeguard, pool manager, pool cashier, and camp counselor. These high-priority positions must be filled to ensure day camps can operate without program restrictions and pools can avoid closures. (KTUL)
  3. A band with Tulsa roots shot part of their latest music video at a popular stop along Route 66. The band, Hanson, featured a scene at Buck Atoms Cosmic Curios in the recently released video for "Write You a Song," a track on their new album, "Red Green Blue." The full album debuts on May 20, and the band of brothers will also set off on a world tour later this year. (KRMG)
