Patch put together a list of 5 great Gresham parks that are fun for the whole family. See what made the list.

Gresham is home to a variety of beautiful parks. The park system has more than 300 acres of park and 8 miles of trails to be explored. Hiking, skating, biking or relaxing, Gresham parks have something for everyone.

1) The Gradin Community Sports Park includes two additional soccer fields, two additional softball fields, a 35,000 square foot community building and maintenance facility, seven picnic shelters, three play structures, two half-court basketball courts, horseshoe courts, a skate park, two concession/restroom buildings, a one-mile perimeter path and 240 additional on-site parking spaces, which will be constructed when funding is secured.

2) The Zimmerman Heritage Farm is a 5.98-acre remnant parcel of the once 600-plus acre Zimmerman Dairy Farm, typical of 1900 turn-of-the century Columbia River dairy farms. The Zimmerman House is on the National Register of Historic Places. Read more about the Zimmerman House on the Fairview-Rockwood-Wilkes Historical Society website.

3) Main City Skate Park is the perfect place to catch some air while practicing street elements on the skate plaza's stairs, banks, ramps, ledges, and other urban street course design features. The 5,710-square-foot skate plaza at Main City Park is in the heart of historic downtown, 219 S. Main Ave.

The park is for skateboarding and in-line skating only. No bikes, BMX, motorized vehicles, or other wheeled devices are allowed in the skate park. Read the skatepark rules and regulations.
