Gresham Twin Gang Members Bought 82 Guns In 18 Months: Feds

PORTLAND, OR — Federal officials say that twin brothers from Gresham went on a gun buying spree, picking up 82 of firearms in just 18 months. Their guns have been linked to at least 10 shootings in Portland so far.

The brothers – Thomas Edward Green III and Edward Charles Green, both 23 – are charged with falsifying information while filling out a federal firearms license record.

The investigation started in April 2020 when Portland Police arrived at an apartment on SE Alder St . where a gun had been fired from one apartment into another. They seized a gun at the scene.

Two weeks later there was and another seizure. That led to Portland detectives reaching out to the ATF for help in tracing the guns.

The ATF linked the the guns to the brothers and determined a few had been purchased illegally.

Over the next year and a half, local and federal law enforcement officials responded to more shootings and seized more guns. In the end, they seized 12 guns and determined that the brothers had purchased at least 70 others.

Thomas Green was arrested last week. His brother was arrested today.

Officials tell Patch that the investigation is continuing.
