Lake Oswego Fire Rips through Apartments Forcing Tenants To Seek Help
A fire on Evergreen Road Thursday night affected 22 of 23 apartments, leaving seven uninhabitable.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR —A fire Wednesday night left nine tenants without a place to stay, needing help from the Red Cross, according to Lake Oswego Fire Department officials. The fire on Evergreen Road affected 22 units in an apartment building on Evergreen Road at Third Street.
One man was treated and released at a hospital for burns to his chest. A cat was killed. The Red Cross helped 22 tenants included nine who need a place to say, according to the fire department.
Officials said that seven of the apartments are now uninhabitable.

The fire department said that the fire was "cooking related" and the investigation is continuing.
