Southeast Powell Hit And Run Leaves Woman Dead, Police Seek Tips

PORTLAND, OR — A woman was struck and killed Monday night by a car whose driver just kept going. Portland Police say that it happened around 10:30 p.m. by Southeast Powell Boulevard and 47th Avenue.

EMTs were the first on the scene but the woman was already dead.

Police closed off Powell between 46th and 49th Avenue for several hours while the Major Crash Team investigated.

Officials have not released any information about the person who was killed or the car involved.

Police are looking for witnesses.
