- The Portland Timbers have postponed their home opener due to severe winter weather in the area. The men's soccer team was slated to play its first match of the season against Sporting Kansas City today at 7:30 p.m. The matchup has been rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 27, at 7:00 p.m., and the team says all tickets for today's match will be honored at the rescheduled event. - Portland police have arrested a suspect accused of killing a 71-year-old man in Oregon City Wednesday. Mason Estabrook, 29, has been charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, and various other charges. The investigation into the incident is ongoing. (KOIN.com)
- The Oregon Short Film Festival is set to showcase the artistry of local filmmakers tomorrow, Feb. 26, at the Clinton Street Theater. The event lineup features a variety of short-film screenings, including science fiction tales and animated shorts. The theater will screen films between 2:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Tickets are available online. (KOIN.com)
