1st Holiday Tree Lighting Held In Rockledge Borough

Residents braved the cold to participate in Rockledge's first tree lighting celebration complete with Santa Claus.

ROCKLEDGE BOROUGH, PA —The borough is in the holiday spirit.

"What a first tree lighting!" officials said in a Facebook post as Rockledge Borough held its first holiday tree lighting ceremony as residents braved the cold on Sunday to enjoy the festivities. "Thank you to all who came out in the frosty weather."

The borough thanked the Rockledge Fourth of July Association for the treats, the Rockledge Model Railroad Museum for the train display, the Abingtones, and Holy Nativity Choir for their singing entertainment.

The Rockledge Fire Company also helped bring special guest Santa Claus to the event with transportation to help light the tree.
