2 New Police Officers Take Oath In Abington
The new police officers were sworn in at the Abington Township Board of Commissioners meeting on Thursday night.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two new police officers have joined the Abington Township Police Department.
The new police officers were sworn in Thursday night at the Abington Township Board of Commissioners meeting.
Police Officer Casey Decker is from Huntingdon Valley, and attended Upper Moreland High School.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Delaware Valley University, where he distinguished himself as the football team's quarterback.
Police Officer Felipe Moreira was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and currently lives in Philadelphia.

Before joining the force, Moreira served as a police officer and sheriff in Alabama.
He was recognized as the valedictorian of his police academy class, graduating with one of the highest academic scores in the Academy's history. Additionally, he is bilingual, speaking Portuguese as a second language.
"We wish them a journey filled with safety, success, and fulfillment," the police department said.
