2 Suspects Wanted For Shooting Girl At Roslyn Park

Abington Police said a girl was shot in the hand after two men approached a vehicle on Wednesday night in the park's parking lot.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Two suspects are wanted for shooting a girl while she was in a car in the parking lot of Roslyn Park on Wednesday, police said.

Abington Police responded at 11:06 p.m. to a report of a female shot in the hand in the 2800 block of Susquehanna Road.

Police officers found a vehicle with two women inside. A juvenile female, accompanied by an adult woman, was suffering from a gunshot wound to her right hand, police said.

The shooting victim was taken to Abington Jefferson Hospital for treatment.

Detectives later determined the shooting occurred in the parking lot of Roslyn Park, located at the intersection of Fernwood Avenue and Thompson Road.

According to the victim and witness, the two were parked in the lot and engaged in conversation. When a man approached the driver’s side of their vehicle and asked to speak with them, police said,

The victim rolled down the window and spoke briefly to the man. At that moment, a second man approached the vehicle and fired a single shot into it, striking the juvenile female in the hand.

The victim and witness immediately fled the scene in their vehicle and called for an ambulance to their location in the 2800 block of Susquehanna Road.

Based on the officer’s initial assessment, it was determined that the suspects were no longer in the area.

The two suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1 —A light-skinned man with a husky build and medium-length afro-style hair. He was wearing a black windbreaker, black pants, and a black-and-white bandana that obscured his face.
  • Suspect 2 —A dark-skinned man, wearing dark clothing, black surgical gloves, and a black balaclava that concealed his face.
