6 New Officers Added To Abington Police Ranks

Abington Township welcomed six new police officers at Thursday's Board of Commissioners meeting.

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Abington Township Police Department has added six new officers to its ranks.

Six new police officers were sworn in before the Abington Township Board of Commissioners at Thursday night's meeting.

Police Officer Justin Colon

Colon was born in Philadelphia and attended North Penn High School in Lansdale. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Temple University. While at the police academy, he distinguished himself by graduating with the highest score and receiving the prestigious Physical Fitness Award.

Police Officer Michael Crescenzo

Crescenzo was born in Bristol and attended Neshaminy High School. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army’s Special Forces, having served with the elite 2nd Ranger Battalion.

Police Officer Patrick Dorsey

Dorsey was born in Meadowbrook and attended Abington Friends School in Jenkintown. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Drew University and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Holy Family University. Before joining Abington, Dorsey served as a police officer with the Solebury Township Police Department, where he was a member of the Bucks County Regional SWAT Team. Additionally, he is bilingual, speaking Spanish as a second language.

Police Officer Samantha Landis

Landis was born and raised in Abington, PA. She attended Nazareth Academy High School in Philadelphia and earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from West Chester University. She was recognized as the valedictorian of her police academy class, graduating with the highest GPA.

Police Officer Ethan Medina

Medina was born in Hanford, CA. He attended Lemoore High School in Lemoore, CA, and earned his bachelor's degree in criminology from Pennsylvania State University. Officer Medina is also bilingual, speaking Spanish as a second language.

Police Officer Tara Pepe

Pepe was born in Bristol and attended both Bensalem Township High School and Bucks County Technical High School. While in the police academy, she distinguished herself as an exceptional team player and excelled in control tactics and physical fitness.
