The township will host a virtual public hearing this week to address its nearly $800K in Community Development Block Grant funding.

ABINGTON, PA — Township officials are inviting community members this Thursday to attend a virtual public hearing to address its fiscal 2021 Annual Action Plan, which details potential uses for the nearly $800K in federal Community Development Block Grant funds the municipality is receiving from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The hearing, which will be held at 6 p.m. on July 29, will give members of the public a chance to see the township's plans for the use of the money, which totals $797,961.

The township has until Aug. 16 to submit its plans to HUD and residents can submit written or oral comments to local officials up until Aug. 6 to weigh in with any thoughts about the planned use of the money.
