Abington Angels Win State Championship

The team won four in a row in Hilltown to take the title.

The Abington Angels Fast Pitch 12U team won the USSSA Pennsylvania State Championship in Hilltown over the weekend.

The Angels went undefeated on Sunday, July 8, winning four straight games to capture the state title.

The Abington Angels are in their 19th consecutive year of teaching local girls the game of fast pitch softball, and preparing them for high school varsity play.  The majority of the Angels’ players come from Abington, Cheltenham, Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, Lower Moreland, Ambler and northeast Philadelphia.

The team offers competitive tournament travel softball for girls aged 11 to 19 and competes in ASA, PONY, USSSA, NSA, FAST, NASF and league play.
