Abington police reports, Valentine's Day edition

The following police reports were taken from the Abington Police records room on Valentine's Day.

Aggravated assault and disorderly conduct … An arrest warrant was issued Nov. 23 for Darnell Rakim Grasty, 19, of the 1700 block of Fairview Avenue, Willow Grove, after he punched a victim in the side of the face causing a fracture, police said. According to police, Grasty punched the victim near the 1700 block of Fairview Avenue because the victim was “talking to his girl.”  

DUI … Jordan T. Silber, 25, of the 100 block of Grandview Drive, Ivyland, was arrested Jan. 15 at 12:23 a.m. after he lost control of his Ford Escort and crashed into a utility pole and a wall while driving eastbound on Jenkintown Road near Evergreen Road, police said. According to police, Silber suffered a bloody nose and swelling of the eye. Two hypodermic needles were seen in plain view in the Escort, as well as an empty plastic baggie. Silber’s blood tested positive for the presence of cocaine and Xanax, police said.

False identification to law enforcement … Kenneth Nock, 43, of the 6100 block of Glenmore Avenue, Philadelphia, was arrested Feb. 4 at 1:02 p.m. after he made a turn from southbound Old York Road onto westbound Susquehanna Road in a truck, which is not allowed, police said. According to police, Nock gave the name of Marcus Nock and an incorrect birthday. Nock was driving with a suspended license and did not have a medical card, which is required for driving a commercial vehicle over 17,000 pounds, police said.

Terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct … An arrest warrant was issued Feb. 6 for Byron Tarlton, 31, of the 1900 block of Osbourne Avenue, Willow Grove, after he threatened and struck an employee who had the task of repossessing a GMC Denali from Tarlton’s residence, police said. According to police, workers from a repossession company informed Tarlton that they were taking the vehicle; the vehicle’s alarm was also sounding. Tarlton became enraged, struck one of the workers and said, “Get the [expletive] back, I got a gun” and “I got a [expletive] gun.” According to police, while the Denali was hitched to the repossession agency’s tow truck, Tarlton got in the Denali, put the Denali in reverse, ripping the front bumper off of the Denali, and then crashed it into a garage door. Tarlton then fled southbound on Osbourne Avenue in the Denali.

Simple assault … Barbara Clayborn, 64, of the 100 block of Tennis Avenue, Glenside, was arrested Feb. 7 at 8:37 p.m. at her residence after she punched her roommate in the face and the chest with a closed fist after the victim asked Clayborn to close the door, police said. According to police, the victim suffered a swollen right eye, and the victim had blood visible in the eye.
