Abington Seeks Transportation Suggestions for Comprehensive Plan

The township, along with the Montgomery County Planning Commission, seeks public input on transportation issues for 'Vision2035' Plan.

ABINGTON, PA — Local and county officials are seeking the public’s input on transportation issues facing this busy, eastern Montgomery municipality.

Abington residents have been asked to submit their thoughts on transportation challenges and opportunities in the township by taking an online survey and participating in two interactive web maps.

The information provided is expected to be used to help prepare the transportation chapter of Vision2035, which is Abington’s Comprehensive Plan.

The surveys and web maps were developed by the Comprehensive Plan Development Team along with members of the Montgomery County Planning Commission, the township announced in a news blast on its website this week.

The deadline for providing public input on this aspect of the Comprehensive Plan is Sept. 6.

Participants will be asked to provide where they reside, and to identify locations they feel are the most in need of transportation improvements.

The survey is open to Abington residents, those who work within the township, and frequent visitors to the area.
