Abington Senior High Wins Golden Globe [World Language] Award
The school is one of 10 statewide to receive the distinction.
Abington Senior High School won the Pennsylvania State Modern Language Association’s Golden Globe Award. It recognizes schools across the state that excel in 11 criteria established by PSMLA to evaluate language programs.
The award is part of the PSMLA Exemplary Program.

Abington is one of 10 schools in Pennsylvania that has earned the award, which places importance on language study. The school will also receive $250 to be used by the high school’s world language program.
According to the PSMLA website, 73 percent of Abington students in grades 9 through 12 are enrolled in world education classes; and the school offers French, Spanish and German AP courses as well as an AP Latin independent study.
