The case also involves a coworker from Philadelphia, with both men formerly employed at a Willow Grove junk removal business, underscoring regional concerns about violent crime and illegal firearms.
   

• Lower Moreland first responders assist with Bristol nursing home explosion which killed at least 2, Gov. Shapiro issues statement (glensidelocal.com) — Abington Township’s own Governor Josh Shapiro publicly praised first responders after a deadly explosion at a Bristol Township nursing home that killed at least two people and injured or displaced many others. Lower Moreland-based Fetters Mill Fire Rescue helped coordinate relocating dozens of residents during a 10-hour operation, highlighting how nearby departments and leaders with Abington ties mobilized in the crisis.
