And the ‘Greenie’ Goes to … An Abington Student

An Abington Senior High School student wins an award for SFX.

Abington Senior High School student James Lennon took home some hardware during the Greenfield Youth Film Festival on Thursday night at Upper Dublin High School.

Lennon won for special effects for each of the films he submitted.

According to the MC, Rich Curtis, a film teacher at Souderton Area High School, the judges said Lennon’s work was “in a league of its own.”

Lennon’s receiving the award was marred slightly, though, when someone used a laser pointer during the showing of Lennon’s excerpts. Curtis handled the situation by appropriately chiding and embarrassing the person who used the pointer.
