Arcadia Holds Commencement for Graduate Students
Those going beyond bachelor walked Thursday evening at the Glenside University.
Arcadia University held its commencement ceremony for its graduate students early Thursday evening.
Hundreds of students — representing schools ranging from education to science to the arts — marched onto the field to the sound of the university’s Festive Arts Ensemble. Many of the students had already officially gotten their degrees or certificates earlier.
Arcadia University Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Steve O. Michael made the introduction, and alumnus Elaine Thompson, President and CEO of Lakeland Regional Health Systems made the commencement address. Thompson borrowed a theme from Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg’s book … telling the soon-to-be graduates to “Lean In.”
