An Armed Robber Held Up A Man Who Was Pumping Gas In His Car In Abington Monday Night
The armed robbery took place around 10 o'clock Monday night at a gas station on the 3000 block of Mt. Carmel Avenue.

ABINGTON, PA — Township police are searching for a man they said held a driver at gunpoint as the man was pumping gas into his car at a local filling station Monday night.
A victim told officers that he was pumping gas at a fueling station on the 3000 block of Mt. Carmel Avenue at 10:02 p.m. when he was approached from behind by a man who instructed the victim to place his keys on the top of the vehicle, and to hand over his wallet, according to a report from the Abington Township Police Department.
The suspect, who also ordered a second victim to surrender her purse, displayed a handgun during the act, police said.

After obtaining the purse, the suspect then grabbed the keys and took off in the vehicle, heading northbound on North Hills Avenue, police said.
Police describe the suspect as a Black male in his mid-to-late 20s with a medium build, approximately 5-foot, 10-inches tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a navy-blue shirt underneath, black sweatpants and black sneakers.

The suspect was also wearing a mask during the armed robbery.
