Back To School: Abington School District 2021-22 School Calendar

ABINGTON, PA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Abington School District, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day of school.

The first day of school for most students in the Abington School District is Sept. 9, 2021.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. The district will be offering a five-day, in-person instructional schedule this school year with a virtual option through the Abington Cyber Education program. There will be no hybrid model of learning.

The district's health and safety plan for 2021-2022 is expected to come up for debate and potential adoption at the school board meeting on Aug. 10. A meeting agenda is not yet available online but when it is you can find it here.

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Abington School District:

First day: Sept. 9, 2021

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25 to 26. Elementary students will have early dismissal Nov. 22 through 24. Junior high school and high school students will have early dismissal on Nov. 24.

Winter Break: Dec. 24 to 31.

Spring Break: April 14 to 18. Elementary students will have early dismissal from April 11 to 13.

Last Day: June 17.
