JENKINTOWN, PA —The Jenkintown Drakes are mourning the loss of their assistant baseball coach who died suddenly on Friday.

A parent of a player on the team posted on the team's Facebook page on Sunday about the passing of Snyder, who was also the head coach of the American Legion Jenkintown Angels.

"Sean was so much more than just a coach," the statement read. "He was a fan, role model, mentor, and a friend to so many of his players and their families. He not only showed up for practices and games, he attended many other special events that involved his players. He valued his relationships with his players and their families."

The parent said that Snyder was always "upbeat and positive" no matter what the scoreboard read.
