The Hiway Theater in Jenkintown even had an Oscar Watch Party Sunday night in hopes that Cooper would bring home the Academy Award, which has eluded him over the years.
The 49-year-old actor has been nominated for 12 Academy Awards.
Besides "Maestro," Cooper's three other Best Actor nominations are for "Silver Linings Playbook," "A Star is Born," and "American Sniper." He also has a Best Supporting Actor nomination for "American Hustle."
Meanwhile, Philadelphia's Da'Vine Joy-Randolph won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress during the 96th Academy Awards Sunday for her performance as Mary Lamb in Alexander Payne's "The Holdovers."
