Residential Burglaries Have Take Place In The Philadelphia Suburbs As Of Late
Police say the burglars appear to target homes that appear as though they're unoccupied.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Local police are advising residents to take precautions in light of a recent spate of home burglaries that have occurred throughout the Philadelphia suburbs.
Prowlers seem to be targeting residences that appear to be unoccupied, police said, and such incidents have taken place recently in various municipalities in the region.
Abington Township Police say that their town is one that has experienced an increase in home burglaries, with several having taken place recently at homes on Stockton Road in the Meadowbrook section of the township.

Police in Abington say they continue to investigate the burglaries and they are advising residents take certain steps so as not to become victims. This includes placing lights on a timer, asking a neighbor to park in your driveway if you will be out of town for a while, submit an away home notification to the police department, and contact 911 for any suspicious activity.
