Eastern Montco Police Conduct DUI Checkpoints Last Aug. Weekends
The Eastern Montgomery County DUI Task Force will conduct sobriety checkpoints the last two weekends of August looking for impaired drivers.
EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Police in eastern Montgomery County will be looking for impaired motorists the last two weekends of August.
Officers with the Eastern Montgomery County DUI Task Force will conduct sobriety checkpoints on roadways through a handful of municipalities during the weekend of Aug. 20 and Aug. 27.
The specific streets that will be affected by the checkpoints were not divulged by police, and neither were the times of day during which drivers can expect to encounter the stops.

The following municipal police departments make up the Eastern Montgomery County DUI Task Force:
- Abington
- Cheltenham
- Jenkintown
- Lower Moreland
- Springfield
- Upper Dublin
- Upper Moreland
- Whitemarsh
Officers will be on the lookout for drivers driving under the influence of alcohol or other substances, as well as enforcing other vehicle code violations.
