Emily R. Vincent, former Glenside Sunday School Teacher

Emily R. Vincent, of Horsham, died June 5 at Abington Hospice at Warminster. She was 69. 

Born in Kingston, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Rachel (née Williams) Ricketts. 

Vincent decorated mailboxes and decorative slates that she sold at local craft shows under the name of "Emily's Attic." She was a teacher and homemaker who taught elementary and nursery school and had formerly taught Sunday school at the Glenside United Church of Christ.

Vincent is survived by her husband, James; her sons, James G. Jr. of Gloucester, Mass. and Gregory A. of Philadelphia; two brothers, Joseph Ricketts Jr. of Williamsburg, Va. and John D. Ricketts of Wenonah, N.J.; a sister, Jane Ackerman of Carlisle; and several grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m. at the Anton B. Urban Funeral Home, 1111 South Bethlehem Pike, Ambler. Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler.
