Fake Montco Nurse Faces 10 Years In Prison For Assaulting Women
A Philadelphia man has been sentenced on numerous charges of assaulting women while working at a Jenkintown urgent care center last year.
ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —A Philadelphia man who posed as a fake nurse at a township urgent care center and was accused of sexually assaulting more than a dozen women faces up to 10 years in state prison.
Ramon Garcia, 34, was recently sentenced to five to 10 years in state prison. He was also found to be a sexually violent predator, which means lifetime registration under Megan’s Law, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and court records.
Last December, Garcia negotiated a guilty plea deal on charges of aggravated indecent assault, invasion of privacy, indecent assault, attempted aggravated indecent assault, attempted invasion of privacy, and performing actions in furtherance of false pretense.

Garcia's sentencing had been delayed because he needed to complete a Sexually Violent Predator Assessment.
In April, Garcia received 24 charges related to assaulting and harassing women under the guise of performing medical exams or tests at an urgent care facility in Jenkintown.
Following Garcia’s arrest, numerous women who had sought medical help at Carbon Health Urgent Care contacted police to share information concerning their encounters with the defendant.
The victims shared information that Garcia, a medical assistant unauthorized to perform any medical exams, had performed two physical exams of the vagina and surrounding areas; performed a hands-on breast exam; watched as patients changed into medical gowns, and in a couple of instances, photographed parts of their bodies; placed victim’s hands on his leg/groin area while drawing their blood; and secretly photographing or videotaping patients in exam rooms or the bathrooms of the medical facility.
Garcia also gave his phone number to multiple patients and made inappropriate comments about them and their bodies.
