Main Convicted of Fatally Stabbing Ex-Girlfriend At Abington SEPTA Station in July 2020

NORRISTOWN, PA — The man accused of fatally stabbing his ex-girlfriend last summer at an Abington train station was convicted of first-degree murder on Wednesday after two-and-a-half hours of jury deliberation, according to a report on Channel 6 ABC Action News.
Gilbert Newton, III, 19, was found guilty during his murder trial of killing Morgan McCaffery in July 2020, according to the television news report.
Newton is facing a sentence of life imprisonment without the possibility of parole, which is mandatory in first-degree murder cases in Pennsylvania.
