Jerzee's Sports Bar Owner Mourned In Abington Twp.
George Popper died Sunday. He was the owner on the Mount Carmel Avenue sports bar and eatery in Glenside.
GLENSIDE, PA —Jerzee's Sports Bar & Pizzaria is mourning the death of its owner.
The popular eatery on Mount Carmel Avenue posted on Facebook that "it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our owner, Mr. George Popper."
Popper died on Sunday at the age of 85, according to his obituary.

"Mr. Popper was full of life and brought a smile to every person he came in contact with. He would show up to Jerzee’s ready with snarky comments, hilarious jokes, and many, many condolences for whoever had to deal with Barry that day," the sports bar said in its post.
Memorial services will be on Friday, April 12, at St. Luke's in Glenside.

His viewing will begin at 10 a.m., followed by mass at 11 a.m.
"Please join us in keeping all of Mr. Popper’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time," Jerzee's said.
