• 7 Commissioners Take Oath In Abington (patch.com) — Abington residents have new and returning leadership as seven of the township’s 15 commissioners were sworn in for fresh terms during Monday night’s reorganization meeting, alongside Tax Collector Karen Sanchez. The ceremony highlighted representation across multiple wards, including Wards 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14, underscoring continuity and change in Abington’s local government.
   

• Abington Library's Rainbow Connections Program Under Fire (patch.com) — Abington Township’s Human Relations Commission is publicly backing the Abington Township Public Library after what it calls “misinformation” about the Rainbow Connections children’s program began circulating. Commissioners emphasize the library’s role as an inclusive, educational space and urge residents to seek details directly from library staff and other reliable sources. They’re calling for respectful dialogue and fact-based discussion around youth programming.
   

• Third employee of Junkluggers Willow Grove receives gun trafficking sentence in addition to life term for murder (glensidelocal.com) — An Abington Township–area man from the Jenkintown section was among three Junkluggers coworkers tied to a deadly Lower Merion home invasion and a wider gun trafficking scheme. One accomplice, Jeremy Fuentes of Philadelphia, just received an additional 6–14 year sentence for illegal gun transfers, stacked on top of his existing life term, further limiting any chance of future commutation.
