Police confronted Brown and when police asked Brown for identification, she allegedly provided police with the same name and Social Security number with which she had attempted to open the account. She was then arrested.
According to police, Brown provided a full confession regarding her involvement in the bank fraud; Brown said she would apply for debit cards and use them until they were declined. She would then apply for more debit cards by changing the Social Security numbers to which the accounts were attached.
