Sen. Art Haywood Hosts Electoral Redistricting Workshop Wednesday And Oct. 4
The office of State Sen. Art Haywood will host an education workshop on Wednesday, and another Oct. 4, on legislative redistricting.

ABINGTON, PA — The office of state Sen. Art Haywood is inviting members of the public to attend an online education workshop for those interested in learning about legislative redistricting.
Haywood's office will host the virtual program Wednesday from 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and again on Oct. 4 from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
The workshop will give interested participants a chance to learn about the process to redraw electoral maps in Pennsylvania, which is slated for completion by year's end.

The program is being done as a partnership with the senator's office, Draw the Lines, and Fair Districts PA. The workshops will take place on the virtual Zoom platform.

The redistricting process occurs every 10 years following the United States Census. It involves redrawing district lines for the U.S. House of Representatives and state legislative chambers.
