Thieves Steal 'Several Thousands Of Dollars' In Armored Truck Heist In Cheltenham: Report

Cheltenham Township Police said the robbery took place Tuesday outside the H Mart, according to a report.

CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Cheltenham Police are investigating the robbery of an armored truck on Tuesday morning, according to reports.

Cheltenham Police responded to the scene outside the H Mart, near the intersection of Old York Road and Cheltenham Avenue, around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Action News 6 reported.

While no one was shot or injured, police said that thieves got away "with hundreds of thousands of dollars," Action News said.

Patch has reached out to the Cheltenham Township Police Department for additional information.

Action News reported that driver had just made a delivery at the H Mart when she was approached by two men. One was allegedly armed with an AK-style rifle, and the other had a handgun, the driver told police.

The suspects then took off, heading westbound on Cheltenham Avenue, into Philadelphia, Snyder said. Police said they are seeking a black Acura TLX, with tinted windows.
