Vehicle Break-Ins Increasing In Cheltenham
Cheltenham Police are urging residents to be mindful of their vehicles after reports in the township and surrounding communities.
CHELTENHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — The Cheltenham Township Police Department is noticing what other area departments are experiencing: With rising temperatures comes increasing vehicle break-ins.
Cheltenham Police said they are "actively working" with neighboring jurisdictions after seeing an increase in vehicle break-ins in all areas of the township.
Horsham Township Police are seeking two suspects for break-ins in a few neighborhoods.

Police are asking residents to:
- Lock your vehicles (believe it or not, many reports are from unlocked vehicles)
- Don't make yourself an easy target
- Remove anything of value from your vehicle
- If you see somebody suspicious near a parked vehicle, call 911 immediately
- Check your surveillance systems. If you have video that you think is suspicious or relevant to these incidents, give it to police
- Share this information with your neighbors
Anyone who is a victim of a theft from a vehicle should report it to the police so the police department can have accurate data on these thefts.
