2 PA Water Parks Are Among Best In America For 2025

Two of the top 24 water park locations in the country are in Pennsylvania, according to a recent list compiled by U.S. News & World Report.

Pennsylvania water parks named to the list are:

Camelbeach Outdoor Waterpark: Tannersville, Pennsylvania

Billed as Pocono Mountains’ largest outdoor waterpark, Camelbeach is located at Camelback resort. It features several rides, including the Rival Racer – an 8-track water slide to determine the fastest slider among friends. It opens for the season on June 15. The resort also features Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark.

Great Wolf Lodge Water Park, Pocono Mountains: Scotrun, Pennsylvania

Great Wolf, located in Scotrun, features a 120,000-square-feet indoor water park kept at 84 degrees year-round. It features several slides, lazy rivers, pools, and more.

U.S. News noted that water parks have evolved to pack in more thrills and are more diverse than they were just a few decades ago. The best of them offer something for everyone, their preferences lean toward lazy rivers, towering slides, water coasters or giant wave pools and surf simulators.

Some of the water parks on the list offer lodging for people who want to extend the fun beyond a day of wild and wet fun. Some water parks may be open seasonally from May to September, although Great Wolf Lodge indoor water parks are open year-round.
