Apple Fest, New Space Exhibit: Weekend Events In The Philly Area

PENNSYLVANIA — After many rainy weekends, and the first taste of cold weather this week, Philadelphia residents will welcome a dry and pleasant forecastfor this first weekend in November.

There are fall festivals and celebrations, as well as some local concerts and fundraisers. Patch took a look at the events calendar, and found a few events for those looking for something to do this Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 4 and 5) in southeast Pennsylvania.

Festival to Celebrate the Apple, Peddlers Village

The weekend will feature continuous live entertainment, family attractions and activities, and a bevy of apple-flavored foods and drinks.

'Wondrous Space' exhibit opens, Philadelphia

The $8.5 million exhibit "aims to feed curiosity about what lies beyond and inspire excitement for future advancements and the endeavors that await—from a return to the moon to groundbreaking travel to Mars."

Phoenixville Bed Races

Race teams will build, decorate, and race beds on wheels down Second Avenue in Reeves Park to support local charities.

'Toasting the Tories' of the Doan Gang, Bucks Co.

The program will feature an afternoon of true tales about the notorious Doan Gang, a group of British loyalists in Bucks County at the time of the American Revolution.
