Chance Of Storms In Eastern PA Thursday Night: Will It Impact Eagles Game?
How will the forecast impact the Eagles game?
After an extended period of dry weather, rain is in the forecast Thursday night and beyond as a cold front moves into the region.
Thursday will be pleasant during the day until the cold front moves in. Precipitation could start as early as 6 p.m., the National Weather Service predicts. There is a chance some of the storms could produce "strong to damaging" wind gusts.
The highest chance for storms is west of the I-95 corridor.

So how will the forecast impact the Eagles game? The birds are set to kick off the 2025 NFL season against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field. The game start time is 8:20 p.m.
The Weather Channel's hourly forecast shows just a chance of showers for Philadelphia proper around the time of kickoff. The chance of scattered thunderstorms is currently predicted to impact areas further west.

Friday will remain dry, with warm, humid temperatures in store. But another cold front is expected to move into the region Saturday afternoon and evening. More showers and storms are expected with this, however, forecasters aren't certain of the timing or intensity.
As we head into the next week, below average temperatures return along with mostly dry conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. South wind 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then a slight chance of showers between 1am and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 87. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
FridaynNight: Mostly clear, with a low around 70. South wind around 5 mph.
Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Saturday night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 8pm and 2am, then a chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 61. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday: A chance of showers before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
